Ear Training for trumpet

Without a doubt, ear training is a vital part of musical development; but for brass players, it’s even more important. Whether you are a classical, jazz or pop musician, ear training should be addressed in your practice time.
This can be done by simply singing through sections which you’re having difficulty playing, making sure that the correct pitches are well ingrained in your mind. Also, working on identifying intervals, chords and harmonic progressions is very valuable.
I’ve been using this website recently – Teoria – Ear training website. It’s free and offers a wealth of tutorials and exercises on various areas of ear training. Take a look through and remember that doing a little on a regular basis will help your playing no end.
