End of week and a New Project
Thursday, 28th March, 2013
So that’s the end of this term. It’s been full of hard work by me and my students, 6 of whom will be going for music exams this summer – so fingers crossed! I’ve also taken over responsibility for conducting the band at Campsmount School in Doncaster – this is in addition to teaching their brass student, and it’s great to see them all getting involved in playing music with others and I’m keen to see the school band improving over the years, hopefully with my continued help!
One of my personal musical projects will possibly be taking on new life very soon. Well known virtuoso guitarist Troy Faid and I have been working as a duo under the title ‘The Big Easy Duo’. After several successful gigs around Leeds, we’ve decided it’s probably wise to expand. We’ll be recruiting double bass and drums in the near future, then getting some snazzy recordings done.
Watch this space for more details!
